What is the book "Twist Cottage" by Anthony Horowitz about??

Text on the back of the Book

"Two spooky short stories by Anthony Horowitz, a master-storyteller and the best-selling author of the Alex Rider series.
All the previous owners of Twist Cottage have died in mysterious circumstances. Just a coincidence, thinks Ben, when he, his father and his unpleasant new stepmother move in. But then he starts to discover the cottage's secret . . ."

Reviews of the book

"Twist cottage contains two mini stories to introduce younger readers to the writtine of Anthony Horowitz.

The first, Twist Cottage, follows a young boy, Ben, and his father as they embark on a new life with a wicked step-mother. The move takes them away from their home in Bath to a small cottage in the middle of the woods. But this house has a past, and few who enter are seen again. This story follows the life of the family in this house.

The second, Harriets Horrible Dream, is the story of Harriet's dream. A young spoilt girl, Harriet's father suddenly goes bankrupt and is forced to send his daughter to live with a friend at his restaurant. But this restaurant isn't all that it seems, and neither is Harriet's dream.

This book was a strange one as I enjoyed the first story and thought it was quite engaging an interesting, but I didn't like the second and didn't really see the horror in it, partially because I found Harriet very irritating and thus unengaging.

I think this book would be a good quick read for young readers who are interested in the horror genre, but it really wasn't for me." Sam Woodfield

"this book is sooo good i only read one page and i think its the best book ive read this is how i read it .in school we read one book until we finish the book and there was a boy in my class he read this book and he said that i love this book and i had a book called myths and legends he asked me can i read that book and then i read one page becuse he give me this book" Fatima Salam

Twist Cottage

I created this piece of work in the first year of uni. The assignment was to choose a book and recreate the front, spine and back cover. Looking back at this piece of work and I must say that it does not look great. Hence why I have decide to redo this assignment within the time given.

Here are the existing covers I have found through google search. Looking at these covers, you can see that the illustrator used font and digital images. Plus there is no illustration of a cottage.
